How do I restore Lifetime Pro?
Open TheBookIWrote, choose Settings in the sidebar, then select Restore Purchase in the Edition section. Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. Billing and refund requests are managed by Apple.

Why is Lifetime Pro unavailable?
Confirm that the device can reach the App Store and that purchases are allowed. Then open Settings and choose Try Again. A local StoreKit test product in Xcode is separate from the real App Store product.
Why is transcription unavailable?
Transcription needs Microphone and Speech Recognition permission plus supported on-device recognition for the selected language. If recognition is unavailable, the recording remains saved locally and can still be played or deleted in the app.
Do I need an Apple Intelligence device?
No. The editor, local database, recordings, organization tools, and basic export work on supported iOS 18 devices. Apple Foundation Models features require iOS 26 and a compatible Apple Intelligence device.
Where is my book backed up?
Version 1.0 keeps the writing database on this device and does not include iCloud sync or a developer server backup. Export important manuscripts before deleting the app, erasing the device, or moving to another device.
How do I export my manuscript?
Open Quality & Finish and use Export. Plain text is available in the free edition. Lifetime Pro adds DOCX, PDF, and EPUB 3. Always open the exported file once to confirm it saved where you intended.
How do I delete local data?
Delete individual captures or projects inside the app. Deleting the app removes its local container from the device. This cannot recover or remove copies you previously exported or backups managed by you or Apple.
Does the app upload my manuscript?
No. Version 1.0 has no manuscript server, analytics SDK, paid AI API, or CloudKit sync. Read the privacy policy for the exact handling of Apple services, support email, and this website.
